  2. that’s so strange! I am born of two Swansea families, James and Walker but married a John Gapper from Somerset so I’m now Emma Gapper…not many Gappers about!

  3. Does anyone know what happened to the Spanish galleon ship the Picton Sea Eagle, which was placed in to the marina in 1987. It was a floating restaurant initially owned by Maurice Colclough and was still there in 1994, but the last time I was in Swansea it was gone and nobody knew where.

  4. The Picton Sea Eagle is now in Bremen (Germany) and is called the Admiral Nelson. It is still a restaurant and looks very much as it did in Swansea.

    • Many thanks for this, nice to know it survived. It was quite the subtraction in the arena in Swansea, a shame it was not more popular & had to go.
